MECHANICAL INSTALLER (PIPEFITTER) DESCRIPTION

As a Mechanical Pipefitter you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and productivity of our fabrication projects. Your responsibilities will include fitting, welding, and fabricating various related projects for the Contracting Team. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the welded joints are done in accordance with approved procedures, applicable codes, and pass all levels of examination and inspection. You must be able to understand blueprints and install piping systems correctly, understand the sometimes-dangerous nature of the chemicals that the pipes they create are transporting, repair and test any damaged or malfunctioning pipes and perform pressure tests from time to time. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a productive work environment will be essential in meeting project deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

- Install HVAC components and equipment to include but not limited to: chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, storage tanks, heat exchangers, rooftop A/C units, air handlers, etc.

- Install HVAC components and equipment to include but not limited to: chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, storage tanks, heat exchangers, rooftop A/C units, air handlers, etc.

- Maintain a high level of attention to safety, quality, and productivity in the welding/fabrication area.

- Perform pipefitting and welding activities, grinding, cutting, flame cutting, plasma cutting, while completing welded piping systems, including o-lets, buttwelds, socket welds, etc.

- Layout, fabricate, fit, assemble, and install various piping systems.

- Carbon steel weld pipe and copper.

- Perform fitting and welding on required structural and support systems essential for piping systems.

- Safely operate forklifts and lift equipment to handle materials as required.

- Operate shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

- Prepare and process all necessary paperwork for material order accuracy and completion.

- Adhere to schedules and ensure on-time completion of projects.

- Properly stack processed equipment and materials and pack them for transportation.

- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, duration, and maintaining files.

- Record parts, material, labor, and other costs per project and return unused resources.

- Reads manufacturers product installation, operation, and maintenance guides for installation.

- Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition.

- Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling and completing repairs and maintenance service.

- Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required. Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$30-$40/hour depending on experience
