Leveler Operator - 2nd Shift

We are seeking candidates for Leveler Operator roles on the 2nd shift. Compensation for these direct-hire roles is $25.07 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!

What a Leveler Operator will do:

• Review order specifications, including weight, width, length, diagonal, and gauge tolerances
• Load the coil onto the uncoiler arbor
• Set up the machine for order specifications
• Stage skids based on order requirements and apply VCI plastic or cardboard to skids
• Process orders, checking tolerances and surface defects
• Rebook coils if not fully used, including re-banding and tagging
• Prepare metal banding/strapping for packaging
• Operate conveyor to position skidded material for packaging
• Package material on skids per customer specifications
• Unload finished material using overhead crane or forklift

What you need to be a Leveler Operator:

• Proficient in mathematics for accurate calculations
• Complete training and be signed off by a trainer
• Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Able to read sales orders to understand customer requirements
• Able to safely operate a side loader forklift for stocking
• Understanding of rack locations for accurate stock placement
• Drug test required
