Position:  Safety Program Manager   

($85,000 - $140,00 per year)

We are looking for a Safety Program Manager to join our Safety Team.  The Safety Program Manager provides safety support, leadership and technical expertise on assigned projects.  Coordinates efforts to ensure employees are onboarded and trained properly.

About the position:

This position performs office work in our Red Bluff office, located at 13670 Hwy 36 East, Red Bluff, CA.   The Safety Manager provides safety support, leadership, and technical expertise on assigned projects and coordinates efforts to ensure employees are onboarded and trained properly.  Outback offers an attractive compensation package including 401K retirement program, health benefits, nine paid holidays and paid sick leave.

Responsibilities:

Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Safety Training – Deliver Safety Training for, but not limited to the following subjects as appropriate to the hazards and conditions presented by the job and duties of employees:
  • New Hire Orientation and future updates
  • Leadership Training
  • Forklift Training
  • OSHA Training
  • FA/CPR/AED
  • Additional client requirements
• Safety Program Management – develop and maintain safety programs pertaining to CalOSHA, OSHA, DOT, Customer Requirements, etc.
• Performs field visits.
• Organize Personal Protective Equipment for employees.
• Work directly with customers on project specific needs.
• And other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Minimum 3 years of Safety Experience in the utility construction industry.
• Preferred experience working with Pacific Gas & Electric.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Experience/Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Certified Safety Professional Cert. (CHST, OHST, CSP, CUSP) is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate and relate in a professional manner.
• Ability to maintain composure especially when under pressure.

• Carry 30 pounds.
• Sit and stand for long periods of time.
