Industrial Cleaner - 1st Shift

Peninsula Plastics is looking to hire a high-performing and motivated individual for our Industrial Cleaner position at our Pontiac AND Auburn Hills facilities.

Company Description:

Our company specializes in manufacturing re-usable plastic packaging and is a leader in the thermoforming industry. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Industrial Cleaner. This individual will support our organization by cleaning and maintaining Peninsula Plastics’ facilities.

Location: Must be able to travel between our facilities in Pontiac, MI and Auburn Hills, MI.

Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay: $17.00/hr

Reports to: Customer Experience Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general cleaning tasks and services throughout both facilities.
2. Use of cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
3. Clean and disinfect all bathrooms at both facilities.
4. Clean and disinfect common areas such as kitchens, breakrooms, lobbies, etc
5. Wipe and dust surfaces in offices and on the plant floor.
6. Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, etc
7. Stock kitchens, breakrooms, bathrooms, etc with designated cleaning supplies and utensils.
8. Pick up and empty trash containers.
9. Notify manager if something is not working properly.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
11. Travel between facilities daily to support operations at both locations

Qualifications:

1. A WORKING VEHICLE IS REQUIRED - daily travel between both of our buildings
2. Minimum 3-5 years of Industrial Cleaning experience.
3. Proven experience cleaning factories or warehouses.
4. Detail-orientated and thorough.
5. Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of individual offices.
6. Ability to communicate with peers.
7. Excellent attendance background.
8. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
