Bakery production manager

Piroshky Piroshky Bakery is hiring a Full-Time Bakery production Manager for our flagship store in the Pike Place store.

A locally owned bakery since 1992, Piroshky Piroshky has been serving Seattle from its historic Pike Place location for almost three decades. In recent years, our company has grown to multiple locations, a Food truck and nationwide pop ups!

Our bakeries are focused on bringing our fresh handmade pastries to Seattle's locals and visitors. As we expand we are seeking creative and passionate individuals to join our team.

Piroshky Piroshky Bakery is seeking a Full Time Bakery production manager, 85,000-87,000 annually, depending on experience.

Some things that are important for us in considering a leader:

• Successful past managerial/supervisory experience in a high-volume food establishment
• Ability to evaluate and understand the uniqueness of our product and brand
• Comfortable building rapport with both staff and clientele
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills that allow you to comfortably guide and coach staff
• Desire and ability to offer innovative and creative ideas that lend to a growing local small business
• Dependable transportation-Flexible schedule
• Ability to multi-task, delegate and time manage
• strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead baker team of 6-8 individuals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Create department schedule
• ensure appropriate labor needs correspond with sales goals
• Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to facilities department
• Oversee the production and baking of thousands of pieces daily to company standards
• Create and a follow a production schedule and prioritize tasks
• Clean and maintain equipment and work space used in food preparation according to established procedures for health and sanitation and safe work practices
• Oversee efficient inventory practices (ordering, FIFO, etc.)
• Detect and ensure disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment and/or other unusual conditions
• Ensure all staff safely move and operate throughout the bakery, communicating clearly and loudly, according to company protocols
• Attentively and accurately follow recipes
• Set and monitor seasonal production workflow changes
• Safely operate all equipment in small spaces, ensuring all staff are doing likewise
• Utilize and oversee staff usage of all provided PPE equipment, ensuring stock and accessibility at all times
• Ensure that timely and consistent employee reviews are performed
• Monitor direct employees and oversee the monitoring of non-direct employees productivity and provide constructive on-going feedback, coaching and development.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of food production experience required
• 2 years baking experience required
• 5 year of managerial experience required
• Experience managing staff of at least 7-12 individuals
