Residential Installer

DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, Electrical, and Plumbing is the largest Residential HVAC Company in Central Florida. We are a rapidly growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Tampa, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), and Sarasota.

Primary Responsibilities: Remove, replace, and start up the air conditioning and heating equipment by performing various tasks to A/C units in residential homes.

Specific Duties & Tasks:

• Interact with Retail Salesperson on abnormal circumstances for the job
• Communicate with a customer in person, about the job to be performed before starting
• Perform a walk-through inspection of the job site and consult work order requirements
• Remove and replace all equipment while protecting the customer’s property
• Perform minor carpentry work (moldings, platforms, doors, attic access, etc.)
• Install, modify, or repair air ducts, indoor units, and outdoor units
• Braze and solder various metals to connect piping
• Disassemble indoor or outdoor units and replace defective parts
• Maintain the required tool list for the position
• Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of company vehicles during their off-duty time
• Electrical work to code when required
• Collect cash or check payments from customers when required
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Have at least 2 years of field experience
• Have a valid Florida driver's license
• EPA preferred, but not required
• Be experienced with low & high voltage wiring
• Be able to pass a Drug Test
• Be able to pass an extensive background check
• Meet the age requirement of 18 years or older
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work flexible hours including overtime as needed
