Materials Handler

North Slope Telecom Inc is looking for a Material's Handler with the expertise of processing materials, including organization and attention to detail. This position is located onsite and the worksite is in Anchorage and can require travel throughout the state. This position is responsible for tasks from receiving to packing/unloading for shipment to job sites, documentation and communication with staff across all departments. Education and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with telecom or utility industry preferred
• Forklift certification, preferred
• Active and valid Alaska Driver’s License, CDL a plus!
• Pass a physical capacity exam
• Pass Federal/State background check
• Pass DOT UA/Alcohol testing

Skills:

• Performing General Physical Activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Usage of Hand Tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, etc.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, and flatbed or bucket trucks, with or without trailer attachments.
• Ability to utilize Inventory & Asset control software (MMS)
• Proficiency with computer for company communications, spreadsheets, and other tracking systems.
• Solid interpersonal skills while developing constructive and cooperative working relationships.
• Strong time management skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing situations in a calm and professional manner.
