Solutions Community Counseling and Recovery Centers is looking to add a compassionate member to work out of our Ohio locations in Warren or Clinton county.

In this role, you will provide supportive services to individuals with mental illness. You will teach coping skills, help kids and ensure safety and well-being for our clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports the mission and follows the procedures and policies of Solutions Community
  • Develops individual service plan by performing diagnostic assessment, obtaining personal history, explaining treatment process, completing documentation, determining client diagnosis and gathering other pertinent data.
  • Facilitates individual, family and group therapy sessions by utilizing counseling skills and techniques. Conducts therapy sessions by face-to-face or by leading family or group sessions. When leading group discussions, distribute handouts, review group assignments, and allow open conversation. Also, educates client regarding diagnosis and treatment plan. Resolves issues by discussing concerns, problems and progress.
  • Monitors client progress by maintaining and reviewing case notes and other documentation. Modifies treatment plans as required.
  • Provides client with alternative services by compiling information on available agency and community resources.
  • Participates in staffing assessments by collaborating with other professionals, presenting client cases, reviewing cases, recommending and obtaining modifications to treatment plans and discussing clinical issues and policies. Attends supervision, team, and other meetings and participates in committee groups.
  • Provides consultation and prevention services to community agencies, residential programs and others by collaborating with representatives, conducting presentations, counseling clients and providing educational and informational resources.
  • Corresponds with referral source by attending meetings, writing memos and communicating by telephone.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing current research and practice. Attending seminars and training sessions.
  • Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and episode notes in CareLogic.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client records and other sensitive subject matter.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands. May be required to accept cases from other programs on an as needed basis. Performs other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with at least 5 years of experience. Master’s degree preferred with 1 year of experience working in a similar environment.
  • Required license LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, or IMFT
  • The ability to respond promptly to emergency or crisis situations.
  • Understanding and compassion for both clients and family members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow up in a timely manner.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Adaptable to teaching various learning styles.
