Facility Technician

Culpeper Wellness Foundation is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced part-time Facility Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maintaining the upkeep of our Foundation properties, ensuring they remain in top-notch condition. From handling general maintenance tasks to making repairs in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds management, you'll be instrumental in preserving the interior and exterior areas of all our facilities. Some work hours could occur outside of facility operating hours.

What You'll Do:

• Dive into the world of facility maintenance as you handle general upkeep tasks, ensuring our spaces remain clean, organized, and inviting.
• Take charge of preventative maintenance on building systems, assisting specialized technicians with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
• Put your skills to the test as you perform grounds management services, keeping our outdoor areas pristine and well-maintained.
• Tackle general repairs that don't require specialized technicians, from fixing drywall to painting and repairing doors.
• Conduct inspections to identify equipment or machines in need of repair, troubleshooting issues and planning repair work accordingly.
• Utilize blueprints and equipment manuals to plan repair work effectively, ensuring our facilities remain in excellent condition.
• Manage trash and recycling receptacles, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout our facilities.
• Stay organized and efficient by utilizing online work order systems to manage and resolve maintenance requests promptly.
• Complete weekly and monthly aquatic maintenance tasks, ensuring our aquatic facilities remain safe and functional for our members.
• Conduct monthly safety checklists at all facilities, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our staff and guests.
• Assist contractors as needed to ensure parking lots and sidewalks remain safe and passable, particularly during inclement weather.
• Help manage inventory by ordering supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance, ensuring we always have what we need on hand.
• Be a team player by assisting with special events and promptly responding to member requests for service or assistance.

Requirements:

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license.
• Experience: One year of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills.
