Orthodontics Assistant Full-Time – SMILE STRAIGHT ORTHO (WILMINGTON)

We have the job for you! SMILE STRAIGHT ORTHODONTICS (WILMINGTON) is offering a full-time opportunity as an Orthodontic Assistant at our WILMINGTON office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.

CERTIFICATIONS: CDA or RDA required, X-RAY certification preferred

EXPERIENCE: None required but must have DA certification

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY

PAY: Starting at $19.00 to $26.00 plus monthly bonuses

BONUS PAY: up to $300 additional per month

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
  • Preparing and taking patient molds
  • Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
  • Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
  • Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
