Order Processing Manager

Summary

You will be a deeply involved project team member to work very close with the Project Manager, Supply Chain, Engineering and scheduling to build and execute a procurement plan to support the project schedule with all deliverables. This role is akin to an internal project management role, and involves an understanding of manufacturing, engineering, time management and logistics.

What you’ll do

• Creation of project specific level 4 network plan in SAP system with scheduling and logistical specifications
• Creation of logistical work packages for the supply chain (purchase requisitions and specifications)of a cross-functional communication between engineering, procurement and logistics.
• Facilitating Coordinate and align milestones for supply chain necessary for planning and logistical control.
• Logistical control in purchasing and/or in-house production and shipping. Follow-up on the supply chain to the final destination (e.g.: final destination is defined with INCOTERMS of the contract)
• Implementation of regular scheduling meetings on planning level 4 activities
• Provide the feedback data to the Level 3 schedule - Integrated project time schedule
• Responsible for cross functional communication / alignment between Purchasing, Production, Quality Assurance and Shipping
• Product(s) knowledge; read and understand parts list /technical drawings
• Scheduling knowledge
• Knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing methods
• System affinity/ PC skills; experienced with SAP R3 or S4 HANA Module PS (recommended)
• Ability to proceed analytically and methodically (recommended)
• Ability to work in a project team (mandatory)
• Sense of responsibility

• Assertiveness

What you’ll need

• Technical degree and/or minimum 5 to 7 years of work experience in similar function.
• Preferred work experience in Supply chain with industrial equipment manufacturing
• Communicate well with others; clearly write and speak to superiors, coworkers and suppliers
• Good organization skills; disciplined approach to daily activities; takes a sense of pride in all aspects of the job.
• Demonstrated ability with strength in planning, organizing and scheduling.
• General working knowledge of computers/technology (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
