Summary
The Maria Tash brand is based in New York with worldwide headquarters and its flagship store that opened in 2004. It was not until 2016 that the Tash expanded internationally with the opening of a shop at Liberty of London. Following this, the brand has continued to open piercing and jewelry destinations in Dublin (Brown Thomas), Liberty (London), Harrods of London and most recently the world’s very first piercing destination in the Middle East at the Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates and Kuwait. How You’ll Impact
The Store Manager will be passionate about leading successful teams. Your overall goal will be to provide a luxury experience, build a strong clientele, and drive sales. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your leadership is pivotal to the success of MARIA TASH.
What You’ll Do
People Management
- Management of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Sales Team. This will include coaching in the moment, monthly touch-bases, and reviews
- Partner with Head Piercer and Assistant Head Piercer in time management of team (tardiness, call outs, etc.) and work with Head Piercer on scheduling of floor coverage for stylists/ management/ piercers
- Training of self and store associates on product
- Ongoing training on new merchandise and piercing care
- Responsible for schedule and rota for store (in partnership with piercing schedule)
- Responsible for appropriate staffing in regard to store traffic/ store events/ Maria Tash events/ holidays/ etc
- Conduct regular team trainings and meetings so staff is all on top of all new knowledge
- Attend any sales trainings or management trainings as needed
- Recruitment of sales or operations assistant roles as needed
- Developing Head Piercers and Assistant Head piercers in management of tardiness and call-outs
- Recruitment, selection and on-boarding of new employees in a timely fashion, with a view to spotting future potential candidates
Sales Duties
- Responsible for achievement of Fiscal plans and sales targets.
- Responsible for reporting of sales numbers and keeping sales reports updated.
- Preparation and execution of any events in the store in partnership with management and marketing.
- Involvement in outside sales events (pop ups, store openings, etc..) where required.
- Knowledge and improvement of key KPI’s for store
- Responsible for knowing clientele and improving customer retention
- Ensure that client information is entered properly and that client records are accurately maintained.
- Responsible for achievement of Harrods account openings and additional Harrods- specific KPIs as necessary
Operations Duties
- Monitor stock inventory levels and appropriately communicate stock needs to management.
- Responsible for store inventory and execution of stock takes
- Responsible for facilities of shop – if in a freestanding store, this means ensuring all facilities (sinks, autoclave, toilets, etc.) are working correctly and if not, the appropriate person is called in to fix. If in a concession, this means working with the store and appropriate contacts there to resolve facilities issues that arise.
- Responsible for general maintenance on the sales floor and communication of any needs to management.
- Receipt and distribution of stock
- Keep sales floor clean and tidy
- Receive, check in, and distribute stock that arrives for store
- Ensure safe and secure storage of all data, in particular client and staff data held in store
- Ensure best practice is followed in order to maintain security of jewelry products
- Ensure all operational duties are performed correctly where an Operations Manager has ownership of these
Customer Service
- Ensure that Stylists are maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Responsible for self-directed learning as well as helping the sales team be up to date on jewelry training.
- Understand piercing healing times, positioning and fitting, ensuring that advice is taken from the piercing team as well as understood and communicated by the selling team.
- Responsible for resolving escalated customer service issues
- Be a representative of Maria Tash in and out of the store and provide a high level of customer service as a manager.
Who You Are
- 3-4 years in a in the retail, jewelry, or luxury sales environment
- 2-4 years in a management and leadership role managing a team
- Detail-oriented and results driven
- Highly communicative and collaborative
