Proper Hospitality is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor at Montauk Yacht Club, a 107-room luxury property set to debut within The Collective. Spanning 35 acres on Montauk’s Star Island, Montauk Yacht Club offers waterfront views, a private beach, three pools, multiple dining options and over 200 wet slips that can accommodate boats from small day cruisers to 300-foot superyachts. Holding eight decades of East End history as an elite social club and thoughtfully reborn for the modern traveler, guests can expect classic East Coast architecture, well-appointed interiors and detail-driven amenities. 

As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our front desk, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service. You will lead a team of front desk agents, providing guidance, support and training to ensure that our guests' needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, authentic greeting to all guests according to brand standards
  • Promptly answer, record and complete all guests’ requests, phone calls, questions or concerns
  • Process arrivals and departures, complete registration paperwork, obtain and post payments, and balance cash banks
  • Execute check-in process per brand standards
  • Arrange airport and local transportation through established network of vetted vendors and seeking new best practices
  • Display a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be a team-player
  • Provide knowledgeable and comprehensive information about the neighborhood and surrounding areas

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced hospitality environment preferred
  • Dependable, detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain composure at all times
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong ability to assess a situation, show good judgment and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to multitask; solution-oriented, open-minded, and always seeking to improve
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, consistent with the needs of the property 
  • Collaborate with colleagues cross-departmentally
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team

Education: High School degree or equivalent required
