The Environmental and Chemical Processing Supervisor is responsible for directing, maintaining and supervision of all associates, processes and machinery related to the chemical processing of production parts, and all activities related to the environmental compliance at the operation facility.   • Maintains current knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations. Reviews and monitors developments in state and local environmental statutes and regulations that affect the company. Prepares and submits required compliance reports. Develops and submits necessary documentation to obtain environmental operating permits. Communicates with environmental regulators on reportable incidents and permitting matters.
  • Supervises and assist in compliance testing and monitoring programs including NADCAP process reviews.
  • Handles regulatory inspections at facility.
  • Operate plating room equipment, and other metal finishing processes, and be familiar with plating methods and metal finishing procedures including NADCAP processes.
  • Must be able to read charts and graphs and follow instructions closely.
  • Ability to perform HAZWPR duties for spill control.
  • Must have working knowledge of measuring equipment and accurately weigh and mix chemicals per instructions.
  • Control pollution treatment tanks per instructions.
  • Ensure job duties are performed in compliance with quality standards.
  • Responsible for the proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly, perform 5S duties.
  • Wear safety equipment as always required and work safely.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
  • Make out production reports and other reports or forms as required.
  • Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Allied Motion Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of and commitment to lean manufacturing principles and techniques. Performs all work activities in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
  • When performing any tasks involving hazardous chemicals or hazardous waste, follow the regulations and requirements of RPCC Plan, SPCC Plan, RCRA regulations and operating procedures involving hazardous chemicals outlined in the Environmental Management System.
  • Supports engineers in equipment or process validation studies.
  • Identifies and repairs common equipment failures.
  • Provides operator training and monitors document conformance.
  • Identifies and corrects common process control problems.
  • Sets-up, adjusts and operates laboratory/manufacturing equipment and instruments.
  • Drafts manufacturing documents such as work instructions, build records, validation protocols/reports, etc.
  • Builds and test part and process validation units.
  • Supervise Team Operators assigned to assist in plating room.
  • Responsible for leading, training, monitoring, disciplining to include training records and appropriate documentation.
  • Required to work with materials, manufacturing, facilities and purchasing to assure chemicals and replenished, handled, documented, and disposed of correctly.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in an engineering field or another comparable field. In lieu of a degree, equivalent years of experience is necessary.
  • 2 - 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing company
  • Must be able to read blueprints to interpret requirements for manufacture, testing or assembly of parts; do calculations and keep work areas clean and neat.
  • Solid computer skills such as Office 365
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Participate in Hearing Conservation program.
Work Environment:
  • The position may operate in an office environment, plating room and production floor.
  • While on the production floor, employee may be subjected to moving parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as safety glasses.
  • While in the plating room, employee will be subject to hazardous chemicals and proper safety procedure shall be followed.
