We have immediate openings for Mechanical Assembly Technician in Ashland, VA. The main responsibility of this position is assembly of crane mechanical components. Rigging experience is a plus. Pay is $20 - $23 per hour based on skillset and experience. If you have experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technicianapply now!
Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
- Assemble components (i.e. bearings) on overhead cranes
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair crane equipment
- Install couplings on shafts
- Use basic hand tools to fabricate, assemble, and install components.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Operate proper PPE(personal protective equipment) at all times
- Follow safe work guidelines at all times
Mechanical Assembly Technician Qualifications:
- 2+ years millwright/ assembling experience
- Able to read shop drawings
- Able to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Lift 50+ pounds
- Rigging experience a plus
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift (6AM - 4:30 PM)
- Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed
- Full-time
