The Proposal Graphic Designer is responsible for executing upon our graphic strategy for RFPs within our Community & State business. That entails close collaboration with response teams and under Creative leadership to develop bid-specific graphics before and during during live bids. The role will serve as a critical relationship leader for the RFP response team by guiding and supporting business stakeholders on the development of graphic needs through pre-RFP and live-RFP phases are developed in support of achieving compelling response strategy and storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative and compelling collateral to engage target audience (i.e. state reviewers and key stakeholders)
  • Take complex scenarios, strategies and/or issues and simplify them into easy to understand visuals that resonate with the target audience
  • Create designs that push the expected creative boundaries while maintaining brand and bid compliance
  • Work with Proposal Creative leadership to ensure design and strategic consistency and partner to continuously improve design process, content and support strategy
  • Support, interact and present ideas to executive-level employees
  • Partner with production team members and bid response stakeholders in managing an efficient and effective graphic intake process
  • Ensure that all proposal documents are aesthetically pleasing as it pertains to graphic design elements, produced to the highest quality standards and delivered within deadlines
  • Coordinate graphic communications to ensure that all project stakeholders are fully informed throughout the bid process
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with staff in various areas of the company. Clear, concise communications is mandatory
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement and standards of the C&S proposal development process
  • Foster close working relationships with proposal and writing leadership to assure alignment to proposal process
  • Collaborate across the UnitedHealth Group enterprise and leverage UnitedHealth Group capabilities to support proposal development and production as practical and consistent with high-quality and timely proposal execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with creative agency or creative team environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role, supporting direct customer interaction
  • Expert level knowledge of working with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Online portfolio of recent work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting graphic needs in RFPs
  • Demonstrated, solid problem-solving experience and ability

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
