Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Join our school-based team if you are a Special Education Teacher wanting a change of scenery! We have a full-time position that works with a K-12th grade caseload. Interviews are being conducted right now, so please send me your current resume if you wish to be considered for this position!

Job Details:

Onsite near the Blackstone, Virginia area
Start in August
# students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
Valid state(OK)teaching certification/license in Special Education.
Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
