Are you tired of working on the same equipment, day in and day out? I have a unique machine shop that is looking for a 1st shift direct hire maintenance technician position. The qualified candidate will have at least several years of maintenance in a machine shop/manufacturing company and also be mechanically inclined enough to learn some custom machines.
Strong mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, pneumatics are required along with blueprint reading and preferably schematics also.
JOB SUMMARY:
Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform general building maintenance.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES:
- Troubleshoots and repairs or coordinates repair of broken equipment. Determine root cause of problem, document action to prevent malfunction in the future
- Installs, moves, repairs or removes equipment within the building
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program on all equipment. Maintains inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies
- Perform general building maintenance
- Contracts and supervises all outside contractors
- Create procedure for correct equipment use and repair
- Report and correct any safety hazards
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
