Logistics & Work Environment:

This full-time position is at our Pee Dee (Florence) Branch, with the primary setting being in a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary, including exposure to freezers and outdoor weather conditions.

The working hours for this role are from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

The role entails regular activities such as sitting, standing, bending, twisting, carrying, and lifting objects weighing between 30 to 50 pounds. The individual in this position must be vigilant in observing and listening for traffic and other typical hazards of Fulfillment environment.

A Day in the Life:

The Fulfillment Sales Order Specialist supports the Fulfillment Manager by creating sales orders for agency pickups, programs, and outgoing shipments. They ensure accuracy in sales orders, organize, and store shipments, and notify the manager of insufficient product levels. Their role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, managing sales orders, handling shipping transactions, and performing daily Fulfillment tasks.

  • Collaborates with Fulfillment Manager and Lead to create sales orders to efficiently move product in and out of Fulfillment safely and accurately using established HHFB inventory processes and procedures, including short sale items, bulk sale items, programs, and SCA sale adjustment.
  • Monitors tracking of sales orders for outgoing shipments, to include programs, USDA, bulk sales, and grant expenses in the NetSuite Order Management system.
  • Monitors SCA inventory and works with warehouse/logistics to ensure appropriate levels and accurate SCA inventory.
  • Properly checks the items in inventory for availability.
  • Works with warehouse team to manage sales orders for agencies for Hot items and bulk sales items to prevent waste and improve inventory turnover.
  • Follows all Fulfillment safety procedures, including those related to material handling, food safety, and operating Fulfillment equipment.
  • Ensures a FEFO (first expired, first out) system is used for inventory.
  • Manages process for returned product and filling out any paperwork necessary.
  • Conducts the monthly inventory, counting and reconciliation.
  • Complies with AIB, Feeding America and other regulatory agency Fulfillment standards.
  • Ensure all required documentation necessary for compliance to occupational safety, food safety standards and regulatory requirements is complete, accurate and current.
  • Keeps Fulfillment clean and sanitized and conducts cleaning activities according to schedule.
  • Other Fulfillment duties as assigned.

To Qualify for this Position, you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of Fulfillment and forklift experience.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others and take direction with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills using Office365, Email communication, Excel spreadsheets, using databases.
  • Good math skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds in a labor-intensive environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic principles of inventory management and ability to use scan guns and inventory software.
  • Ability to engage and direct volunteers.
