JOIN OUR TEAM AS A NBIS-CERTIFIED BRIDGE INSPECTION TEAM LEADER

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Join EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as we seek a skilled Bridge Inspection Team Leader to lead our dedicated team. In this role, you'll spearhead the evaluation of highway structures, including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls, ensuring their safety and integrity. Your leadership will be pivotal in conducting thorough inspections and identifying structural concerns. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of our bridge inspection team, the Bridge Inspection Team Leader will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Performing condition inspections and evaluations of various highway structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.
  • Preparing inspection reports following MDOT SHA's requirements and guidelines.
  • Performing structural and load rating analysis based on as-built drawings and current conditions.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures
  • Successful completion of the NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Course (FHWAA-NHI-130055)
  • Experience writing inspection reports
  • Proficiency in bridge inspection software and tools
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

We prefer qualifications such as:

  • Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges (FHWA-NHI-130078)
  • Inspection of Ancillary Highway Structures (FHWA-NHI-130087)
  • EIT or PE license
