Bartender (Cambria Hotel Polaris)

Job Summary:

The Bartender at Cambria Hotel Columbus Polaris is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and efficient manner. As a key member of our team, the Bartender plays a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests. 

We are looking for one or two bartenders for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday shifts.

Responsibilities:

- Greet guests and take drink orders in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel recipes and standards
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, promotions, and special offers
- Provide recommendations and upsell to guests based on their preferences
- Keep bar area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor and control alcohol consumption of guests in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of bar supplies
- Handle guest complaints and concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations, including checking IDs and refusing service to guests who are underage or intoxicated
- Complete opening and closing duties such as cleaning and stocking for the next shift

Requirements:

- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Familiarity with liquor laws and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to mix drinks accurately
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
