Member Care Assistant to CNA Trainee

**8-week program leading up to CNA Training **
Upon successful completion of the CNA Training program, you will be offered a position as a CNA with The Friendly Home.

Full Time | Day Shift: 7-3 pm | Every other Weekend

Class starts May 1st

Requirements for a Friendly Home Member Care Assistant:

• High school diploma, preferred.
• Interest in becoming a CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities for a Friendly Home Member Care Assistant:

• Provides transportation in facility for Members to Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreation Programs, Beauty Shop, Consultant Visits and other areas as assigned.
• Places clothing protectors on Members prior to meal and removes protectors at the end of the meal.
• Assists with feeding, tray pass and picking up trays at end of meal.
• Makes Members' beds and checks to be sure rooms and Members' belongings are in order.
• May spend quality time with Members through friendly visits.
• Answers Members' call lights.
• Passes ice water as assigned.
• May assist staff in maintaining Members' belongings.
• May pass linens, straighten Members' dresser drawers, water plants and pass mail.
• Reports any changes noted in Members to Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Attends in-service education as directed by Nurse Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Nurse Manager/Nursing Administration.
• Completes meal monitor, as assigned.
• May assist with Member activities as assigned.
