Role and Responsibilities:

Raw Product Quality Inspector is a key role that oversees, daily inspections of incoming Raw Product, monitor and document cooling/nitrogen flush procedures and readings, perform audits from a Quality perspective other food safety processes. Inspect products extensively before their release to assure our standards of quality are met. Verifying reception on system with accurate information to determinate if product meets spec temperatures, defects and ensuring product meet spec on Food safety protocols. The ideal candidate will ensure that all key process indicators are being monitored and recorded and ensure all raw product specification and SOPs are being adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality checks on incoming raw materials to ensure they are within specifications and FSQA guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the quality management procedures and systems are being met.
  • Address issues and assist manager with problem solving with cross functional departments.
  • Ensure data is accurately being collected for quality scorecard and prepare reports.
  • Assist R&D department (Product Development Group) with projects as assigned.
  • Ensure that raw product that's harvested in compliance with company specifications.
  • Perform document retention sample programs.
  • Perform food safety Checks and document in a digital tablet.
  • Monitor cut to cool times and Oxygen readings post cooling and report deviations.

Position Requirements:

Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift, perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously through the shift and lift up to 35 pounds.

Basic skills using Microsoft Office, primarily with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, tablets.

Understanding of GMP's, GAP's, SSOP's, SOP's


Position Skills and Desired Qualifications:

  • Understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
  • Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow directions, interact well with co-workers and accept constructive criticism.
  • Time management skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Additional Notes:

Working conditions are outdoors with exposure to the elements (windy, warm, cold temperatures, rain)

Exposure to cold warehouse temperatures (32-37F)

  • Ability to work long hours and work 7 days a week when necessary.
