Salary: $17.85 per hour (DOE) / Additional Differentials Must Qualify

Peer Support Counselor - Cypress House

Seeking Full-Time and Part-Time; Non-Exempt/$17.85 per hour (DOE) 

Now offering a $500.00 Sign On Bonus to be paid upon hire.

Additional Pay differentials - must qualify through program, shift, testing, or verification.

*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)

*Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)

*Overnight/Graveyard - Stay Awake Shifts ($1.00 per hour)

Provide direct care and supervision for adults ages 18 and over in a supportive living setting under the supervision of the Program Supervisor. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Mentor and support the social, behavioral, educational, and vocational guidance of adults. Will actively engage with adults, establishing a positive rapport with proper professional boundaries. Support and guide adults to learn skills necessary to maximize their independence. Education and/or Experience must be able to work in an environment where adults are present and active, both physically and verbally. High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and related experience or training equivalency.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.  

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, Subsequent background check required should you be chosen as a candidate for this position. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.
