Seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Store Showroom Stager/Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating captivating interior designs and staging showroom displays that reflect the coastal lifestyle. This role involves a combination of artistic flair, practical design skills, and the ability to lift and arrange furniture.

Responsibilities:

- Conceptualize and execute innovative interior designs that align with our local demographic, creating inviting and visually appealing spaces within the furniture store showroom.

- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer preferences and incorporate market trends into the showroom displays.

- Select and arrange furniture, decor, and accessories to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing vignettes that inspire customers and drive sales.

- Utilize knowledge of design principles, color schemes, and spatial arrangements to enhance the overall ambiance of the showroom.

- Ensure that furniture placement complies with safety regulations and maximizes the use of available space.

- Assist in organizing and merchandising inventory within the showroom, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing shopping experience.

- Collaborate with homeowners and vendors to redesign or update their interiors, offering custom orders when available.

- Uphold a standard of excellence in customer service by providing design advice and assistance to customers when needed.

In 2019 we launched our home furnishings showroom, and in 2020 we opened the property management program up to a new tier of properties. We are looking for your position to help us build out new accounts in vacation rentals. You will work hand in hand with the owners to set up concepts for their home that will include vision boards, picking out paint colors, and helping stage for photos, which is a Ton Of Fun.

This job focuses on keeping the showroom fresh, organized, and inspiring. Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm are the keys to achieving the goals of this job, as you will also be working with clients. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated is the foundation for designing and implementing interactive communication and decision-making processes. Knowledge and skill in successfully influencing and persuading others by understanding how their individual needs and motivations link to goals are essential. The job environment is fast-paced and results-oriented. While there is an urgency toward goal achievement, responsibility for achieving results needs to be shared and effectively delegated when necessary. Initiating projects and processes beyond established organization practices will often require training and developing others and enlisting their support by using a "selling" rather than "telling" communication style. A self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals and groups is essential. The job has a variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. Because goals and desired results can quickly change, the job requires regularly meeting and proactively establishing relationships with new groups. Understanding, quickly reacting, and motivating others to adapt to the changing organizational environment is a critical key to success. In general, the core of this position requires a motivated and motivating team builder and organization developer.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Showroom Stager/Interior Designer.

- Ability to showcase successful projects with visual examples or a portfolio.

- Ability to lift and move furniture as required during showroom setup and rearrangement.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors.

- Ability to confidently utilize technology and computers.

- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and spatial arrangements.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing design trends and business needs.

General HR Requirements:

  • The schedule will be part-time (2-3 Days a week)
  • Drug and Alcohol-Free Company, Be advised: Drug Test Upon Hire.
  • Must have established residence on North Coast or Transition Plan
  • You will need a reliable car or truck to get to work / a valid DL. We need to know You will not be walking in the rain come January & February when the wind will knock You over out there.
