We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives on being responsible for managing the payment of invoices and ensuring timely settlement of financial obligations for an organization. We are centrally located just off the interstate so your commute will be a breeze, and once you get into the office you will find a friendly group that really has each other’s back. This is a dynamic workplace, and the right candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties:
• Process vendor invoices by matching the invoice to the receiver and purchase order
prior to cutting a check
• Reconcile vendor invoices ensuring accuracy
• Investigate and resolve problems while building rapport with vendors
• Answer all inquires regarding vendor payments, investigate and resolve all payment
issues
• Respond to all requests for information
• Print weekly aging report for Accounting Manager to review and approve payments
• Process weekly check run for vendor payments and all credit card statements
• including matching invoices with checks
• Get authorized signatures on weekly payroll transfer request. Email signed request
to bank for processing
• Process C.O.D. checks as required and clear C.O.D. receivers once product is
received
• Notify bank on travel dates/locations for credit card holders
• Send weekly vendor check listing upload to bank for positive pay process
• Approve/reject vendor checks discrepancies via bank positive pay module

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, completion of Associate degree in accounting
desirable
• Minimum three years accounting experience required preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; knowledge of Made2Manage (M2M) software a plus
• Ability to effectively and accurately use a calculator and type using a keyboard and
other business systems.
• Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Ability to adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of
organizational and individual behavior and comply with all government laws and
regulations.
• Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use
good judgment, manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently
meet all deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and
credibility at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to follow through, have excellent problem-solving skills and be
cost conscious.
