Director of Operations and Logistics

We are looking for an experienced Director of Logistics and Operations to oversee and optimize our day-to-day operations. The role entails managing project managers, creating a daily schedule, and providing oversight over our dedicated crew. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the tree care industry and possess exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient execution of tree care projects.
• Create daily schedules for tree jobs, optimizing resources and maximizing productivity.
• Train new project managers on company processes, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• Diagnose equipment repair issues and coordinate with the appropriate personnel to ensure timely resolution.
• Distribute sales leads to the sales team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensure that safety standards are met on all job sites.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service, exceeding expectations and fostering long-term client relationships.
• Help mobilize crews and cranes during emergency jobs.
• Diagnose equipment issues

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in the tree care industry, with a strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
• Previous management experience is a plus, with a proven track record of leading teams to success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and office staff.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
