Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Civil or Environmental Engineer from the graduating class of 2024 to join our team in the Dover, Delaware Office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with technical, civil and/or environmental engineering design
- Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:
- water and wastewater infrastructure design
- Stormwater management design
- Site grading
- Erosion and sediment control design
- Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
- Review of plans for compliance with agency regulations
- Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications
- Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
- Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
- Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- 0–2 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, land development, or civil-site engineering design
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
- Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
- Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
- EIT Preferred
- Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
