Position Details:
Seasonal Watermelon Transportation Role - Waddell, Arizona
Dive into the dynamic world of agricultural transport with our exclusive Watermelon Run! This role is ideal for drivers who enjoy the rigor of manual work and have a knack for operating in outdoor conditions. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals with a Doubles Endorsement to join our team in Waddell, Arizona. This is not just another driving job; it's an opportunity to be part of a vital seasonal operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport watermelons using double trailers; ensuring secure loading and unloading practices.
- Skillful handling of trailers is required, including hooking and unhooking.
- Prepare for the Arizona heat with proactive measures like staying hydrated and keeping cool with wet towels.
Requirements:
- At least 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
- Mandatory Doubles Endorsement with practical experience in handling double trailers.
- Ability to work flexible hours in non-DOT regulated conditions, with no overtime pay.
- Must be comfortable with manual trucks as there are no automatic trucks available.
Compensation:
- $24 per hour for newcomers.
- $25 per hour for returning drivers.
- Note: This position offers straight pay with no overtime, allowing for extensive working hours as needed by the client.
