Park Maintenance Aide 1 - Seasonal

The Sunrise Recreation and Park District is recruiting for Park Maintenance Aide I - Seasonal Positions in the following shifts:

• Edge and Blow Crew - Monday thru Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm supporting the Mowing Staff
• Pools and Facilities - Monday thru Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm supporting the Pool and Facilities Staff
• Park Maintenance - Monday thru Friday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm supporting evening activities and closing parks
• Park Maintenance - Wednesday thru Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and Saturday thru Sunday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm supporting daily activities, opening and closing parks

CLASS DEFINITION:

Receives on-the-job training in park and facility maintenance and provides temporary help during peak work load periods. Maintains grounds in a clean, neat and orderly condition; performs manual labor and basic landscape, maintenance, repair and construction support tasks to assist District Park Maintenance Workers in the maintenance, repair and construction of District parks and recreation facilities; and performs related work as assigned.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Park Maintenance Aide class is a sub-entry level classification. Incumbents are temporary employees and may not advance to permanent status in the Park Maintenance Worker classification series. Hours of work may be full or part time.
