Summary With the main focus on in-house sales support, this entry-level role will work in conjunction with upper management, purchasing, outside sales, customer service, shipping, operations, quality assurance and accounting to help facilitate and foster Customer Satisfaction, Stampede's core value. On the marketing side, this role will work with the marketing team to help grow brand awareness and brand loyalty with our B2B customers as well as our new market of B2C customers. This allows the candidate to be the content strategist, researcher, writer, designer, blogger, and video/photo editor.


This position serves as a steppingstone to gain exposure to various areas of our business and demonstrate high performance in order to be promoted into another position of interest (and fit) within the organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this position will include the following as well as other job related duties not assigned:

  • Assist with account set up;
  • Work directly with the sales team to prepare monthly pricing and product specification updates;
  • Coordinate PO's from time of receipt to delivery of product at the customer's facility. This will involve coordinating each order with all departments involved including Customer Service, Production, Quality Assurance and Shipping, ensuring the order process from start to finish is done with accuracy and in a timely fashion;
  • Coordinate product issues and returns. This may include Quality Assurance holds, advising appropriate personnel of returns, processing returns to stock, obtaining management approval and ensuring proper credits were given;
  • Coordinate getting competitive product samples, coordinating logistics for pick-up and payment;
  • Review and maintain customer commitments, price list, new product rollout schedules and informing appropriate personnel of upcoming events;
  • Alert supervisors and operations via memos of new deals and product and packaging needs;
  • Responsible for international exports, involving government documentation and working with USDA inspectors;
  • Assist in running various reports for different departments as well as reports for customers;
  • Contribute to marketing and creative brainstorm initiatives;
  • Assist in preparing power point presentations, coordinating mockups and packaging photo shoots;
  • Assist with the production of artwork, sourcing images, print buying and checking copy;
  • Drive strategic campaign development as well as manage tactical day-to-day campaign deliverables, using insights and customer intelligence to execute end-to-end campaigns;
  • Identify and propose internal/external ideas and initiatives to help promote general awareness of company brand;
  • Originate, and deliver outstanding marketing communications across multiple channels (social, digital, experiential, advertising and more);
  • Maintain Stampede's and its affiliates websites (including but not limited to Meatworks, Mission Hill Bistro, etc.), blog(s), emails, announcements and social media presence - Storytelling using photography, videography and writing;
    • Including developing and managing the social media calendar
    • Developing monthly performance reports against social media presence
  • Track and monitor inventory levels for our B2C business, as well as market trends, offering insights and/or suggestions for continuous improvement;
  • Lead B2C product launches to achieve strong improvements and brand consistency;
  • Assist with convention and trade show planning, obtaining information on tradeshow booths and assisting with travel arrangements;
  • Miscellaneous to include searching for and sourcing new premiums, coordinating customer pickup/drop off and other duties as needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Order processing systems; Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Premier Pro, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator required.

Other Skills and Abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must. A professional and pleasant telephone voice/manner is essential. This person needs to be detail-oriented and organized. The ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently is needed to perform the job.

Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time, potentially over weekends, as well as during the workweek.
