Job Details

The Junior Recruiter will play a crucial role in supporting the talent acquisition team by assisting in the recruitment and selection process. You will collaborate with senior recruiters and hiring managers to source, screen, and engage potential candidates.

Essential functions

  1. Utilize various sourcing methods, such as job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify potential candidates.
  2. Actively participate in building a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  3. Conduct initial resume and application reviews to assess candidate qualifications.
  4. Input and maintain candidate data in the ATS to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  5. Generate reports and track key recruitment metrics within the ATS.
  6. Provide administrative assistance in creating and posting job descriptions.
  7. Help with the preparation of onboarding-related documents and materials.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, recruitment best practices, and relevant technologies.
  9. Seek opportunities for professional development and training within the recruitment field.
  10. Work closely with senior recruiters, hiring managers, and other team members to understand specific hiring needs.
  11. Collaborate on recruitment strategies and tactics.
  12. Assist in tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and overall recruitment efforts.

Work Environment

This position is based at DPC's Headquarters located in Daniel Island, DC. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers (cloud based e-filing), phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Must be proficient in the English language.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  1. Required to sit at a desk, answer phone calls and operate a computer for up to 8 or more hours per day on certain days with reasonable breaks.
  2. May be required to travel to locations to conduct meetings, interviews, and visits requiring walking and carrying equipment such as laptops or equipment needed at a site.

Travel

Moderate travel is expected for this position to support the National Capital Region office and contract transition startups.
