Construction Coordinator

Our client is looking for a solid construction coordinator to support their OSP telecommunication efforts. This resource will be responsible for performing site walks, vendor interaction/management, delivering on timelines, Quality Assurance, and Project Tracking. (Turn Key Projects). This is a long term opportunity and open to various level of candidates.

Six Month to Perm Hire Role

Will be issued a on site vehicle, must drive own personal vehicle to pick up company vehicle on site.

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a turn key vendor that support OSP and ISP construction for Telecommunication efforts. They are a large General Contractor that supports the MD, DC, VA, and WV market with recent expansion to NJ and Vermont. The major of their business and relative to the Cable TV industry and support customers such as Comcast, Cox communications, and Crown Castle.

Fiber Network Services is looking for Construction Coordinators to support their OSP telecommunications construction efforts not limited to Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential (Multiple Dwelling Units), SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) jobs.

These construction coordinators will be aligned geographically and will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish. This will involve over seeing internal crews as well as contractors to ensure projects are meeting deadlines, perform quality control, and provide the end client with various updates. Ultimately they will be reporting to a project manager and the client itself to provide meeting updates and tracking/reports within excel or client specific software so computer literacy is a must!

These will be turn key projects so they will be performing Site Surveys, Site Walks, creating and validating BOM's, approving line items, set expectations with end clients, coordinating construction with various crews, performing QC, and working project through close out to validate As-builts. Really need to be comfortable creating accurate timelines after assessing projects.

Experience working across Design, Permitting, and Construction is a plus. But they do have an in-house permitting team. Need to have great internal and external communication abilities

This person needs to be motivated and have the ability to take initiative. They will have a strong support system and need to know when to escalate issues to higher managers. Also in charge of raising awareness around vendors performance. Tons of collaboration internally and externally.

• Providing updates and QC report tracking
• Reporting to client and PM weekly meeting updates spreadsheets
• Tracking in excel
• Assessing project defining scope find bill of materials approve line items
• Engaging in accurate timelines
• Working with contractors and in house construction teams
• Be able to change digital to as-builds

There will be OT opportunities and some on-call responsibilities

Microsoft proficient and Must have a cabling background. Some fiber splicing, and coaxial is a bonus.

This is a very collaborative work environment that is about 50% office and 50% field work. You will be reporting to a local office and once you are "up and running" will have remote flexibility
