Job Description
Merchandise Assistant
Part Time: M-F, some weekends, estimated 20 Hours Weekly (hours may vary per week depending on workload)
Pay: $18-$20 hourly
REMOTE in Salem, Oregon, some travel required locally.
 
Core Responsibilities:
o   Maintains accurate and updated records of replenishment purchase orders. 
o   Develops collaborative vendor relationships. Works with vendors to obtain necessary details for new item creation. (Domestic and International)
o   Tracks order and vendor shipping information to ensure on time delivery and problem solves for issues.
o   Establish merchandise processes and documents to include product information & set up, tracking, and planning.
o   Conduct weekly web audit to ensure all styles are activated, organized, and free of issues/ errors.
o   Categorizes and sorts products via collections and filters to effectively merchandise products on the site.
o   Serves as the liaison between the merchandise team and fulfillment center.
o   Create product listings in Shopify, including uploading images, specs, and product-related documents.
o   Search new merchandise ideas, products, etc. for organizational branded merchandise.
o   Customer email support including:
o   Managing refunds, returns, and order follow ups, utilizing Gorgias ticketing system and direct inbox. 
o   Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications/Skills:
 
o Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize and prioritize workload, and complete work with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and follow-up.
o Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
o Detail oriented, analytical, proactive problem solver.
o Organized, decisive and good at planning.
o Ability to work with a team and be a good team player.
o Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with outside vendors and customers.
o Flexibility and ability to work from a home office.
o Ability to travel to meet vendors and suppliers to pick up products and deliver to fulfillment center as needed.
o   MS office and Excel skills

o Act as a responsible and compassionate representative of The Asher House at all times.
 
Physical Requirements:
·   Often requires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
 
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
 
·   Knowledge and experience with Shopify platform (preferred).
·   Graphic design experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva (preferred).
·   Experience working in or with a fulfillment center.
·   Previous retail experience (preferred).
 
Working Conditions:
·   Work is normally performed inside; some outside work is required.
·   Working at home office.
