Job Description
Purpose: To describe the basic responsibilities and training needed to qualify as an Advanced CNC Lathe operator.
This role maybe in additional responsibility to the regular job functions.
Responsibilities:
Operate more than one machine running when job mix permits
Will create part programs of basic complexity at the control using g-code format
Produce at 100% of the routed rate
Will meet quality expectations of no more than one at fault NCRs per quarter
Work Environment: Machine shop environment
Licenses/Certificates: Fork lift safety training,
High School diploma Experience:
Three years or more in manufacturing
The Advanced CNC Lathe operator will have mastered the skills and qualifications and job functions of the Intermediate CNC Lathe operator.
Will demonstrate the ability to reprogram features of part programs as well as selecting alternate tooling to optimize job performance. The operator will also be able to write basic CNC programs without assistance.
Physical Demands: Able to stand for at least four hours at a time
Capable of lifting at least 40 pounds
Machines in the shop: HAAS Mill, Doosan, Toyoda, Puma Lathe
Starting shift: 6am, working 10 hours day. Direct Hire with excellent benefits.
