CMM Programmer- 2nd shift

JOB TITLE: CMM Programmer/ Inspector

HOURS: 2:30pm to 1:00am Mon. –Thurs.

2nd SHIFT PREMIUM: 15%

DEPARTMENT: Quality

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Metrology & Quality Inspection

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

•Inspects product to determine compliance with specifications, both dimensional and visual; Libra’s quality control system for compliance with requirements for conformity to specified standards.

•Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examination or signs off on product.

•Run, operate and program CMMs.

•Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

•Assist in the control of nonconforming product.

•Help in continuous improvement activities.

•Follows inspection and control plans to ensure product quality.

•Coordinates data files and quality records in accordance with the Libra’s quality control system.

•Prepared backup CMM accessories probes, extensions and all phases of CMM hardware.

SKILLS /EXPERIENCE PREFFERED:

•Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or greater.

•Certified Mechanical Inspector status through ASQ.

•Aukom Training.

•ASME GD&T Training.

•Minimum of 3 years Zeiss Calypso experience.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•High school diploma or GED.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•This position will work in both front and shop environments.

•In the shop, you will be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to have good hearing and sight.

•You will need to be able to walk the shop floor and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
