Specsoft Packline Lead 3rd Shift

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

Operate finishing machinery in support of producing secure documents meeting all company goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :

• Operates POS money-order packaging line following established procedures and Quality Assurance standards.
• Effectively lead and direct the packaging team in successful completion of their assigned job functions.
• Maintains required production and packaging documentation.
• Maintains the stock and usage of packaging materials to ensure proper stock levels are in place.
• Minimizes risk of material shortages leading to line stops.
• Communicates and collaborates with SpecSoft Operator to maximize performance and minimize productivity disruptions.
• Supports SpecSoft operator to set up the Specsoft press, including numbering (MICR) heads, ink, camera, and related systems.
• Performs routine maintenance, 5S, and clean up.
• Trains new employees as required
• Assists with examining product when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a finishing associate and/or related job experience
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
• Some Mechanical aptitude
• Good visual acuity and color vision
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, or reach 12 hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on any shift as needed to meet production goals)
• The employee must have good attendance and performance in their current position.
• Must be able to adhere to stringent safety rules, quality and security rules.
