The Housekeeping Associate at Black Prong should be a high-energy team player, with the desire to perform tasks with care and detail as well as learn new skills and grow as the resort grows. The Housekeeping Associate is a person that ensures the highest level of cleanliness for our customers and staff throughout the resort which includes cottages, luxury tiny homes, Airstreams, pavilion, pool, restaurant, fitness center and other amenities. This position requires general knowledge of the housekeeping duties, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and grow, excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines. This is a full-time position.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Accommodation Cleaning: Provide full cleaning of guest accommodations to ensure high quality home-away-from-home experience for the guest.

2. Resort Common Areas: Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting & polishing. This includes bathrooms, laundry areas, gym, pool house, and restaurant.

3. Other Duties: Resort laundry, trash removal, supply restocking, organization of housekeeping room and carts

4. Housekeeping Maintenance and Safety: Practice safety standards at all times and keep the property safe for guests and fellow associates. Use wet floor signs as required, as well as personal protective equipment. Report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to manager.

5. Event Support: Work with the banquet team to assist in cleaning prior to an event setup or after a tear down,

6. Recordkeeping: Report low supply quantities, make suggestions on products to help maintain efficiency for cleaning.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in housekeeping or related custodial role, preferably in a nature resort, or luxury hospitality setting.

  • Detail oriented to ensure our resort remains presentable and sanitary.
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping standards & comfortable working with task management software
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with management in person, video call, or email.
  • Demonstrate care for others and ability to communicate with staff and guests in a professional, but compassionate manner.
