The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a division of Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. The ReStore mission is to generate revenue through the sale of donated building materials and household items to support HFHG's operating budget. Through its efforts, the ReStore facilitates recycling, minimizes landfill waste, provides low-cost home improvement items, and increases Habitat's visibility in our community.


SUMMARY:

The purpose of the ReStore Donations Manager is to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the ReStore Donations Department are carried out in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. This role is critical in developing & maintaining relationships with individuals, businesses and other organizations that will result in a constant supply of donated goods to the retail locations. This position is responsible for taking, scheduling, and routing all donation pick-up requests, keeping up with all scheduled vehicle maintenance and repairs as necessary, and supervising a staff of 4-6. The ideal candidate will have exemplary customer service skills, be detail oriented, proficient at multi-tasking and be mission-minded. The ideal candidate must also have excellent inter-personal communications skills and a desire to learn and grow within the organization,.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Take all pick-up requests related to in-kind donations.
  • Schedule and plan routes for daily donation pick-ups in an efficient and donor friendly manner
  • Manage on-site inspections for large donations and coordinate their pick-up
  • Manage all truck crews ensuring they are following all processes and procedures.
  • Complete performance evaluations and administer any necessary disciplinary action as well as maintain the lead role on all hiring and termination decisions for the ReStore Donations Department.
  • Schedule and facilitate all required maintenance and repair work on ReStore vehicles.
  • Monitor and confirm all online donation requests.
  • Maintain an acceptable pick-up turnaround time as defined by Supervisor.
  • Work closely with the Director of Retail Operations, Procurement Team, Development Team and ReStore Managers to ensure all cultivated donor interactions are of the highest customer service quality.
  • Keep clear and open lines of communication with all HFHGC staff.
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent MS Office and general technology knowledge
  • Dispatching or scheduling experience.
  • Call center or over-the-phone customer service experience.
  • Ability to train and supervise staff and volunteers in giving exceptional donor service 100% of the time
  • Knowledge and experience with DOT commercial vehicle laws is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience managing employees.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certification recommended
  • Current SC driver's license and clean driving record
