Position: Accounting Operation Supervisor
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 /annually
Location: Modesto, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Description:
We are looking for an Accounting Operation Supervisor who thrives in a challenging environment and is passionate about managing financial operations and ensuring financial accuracy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations, including experience with project management, internal and external audits, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (A/R), supervising AR, SOP generation, and accruals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all accounting operations, including A/R, General Ledger, and accruals.
- Supervising the AR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credits, and other documentation.
- Conducting regular internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with established controls and procedures.
- Utilizing project management skills to lead initiatives aimed at improving treasury management processes and other accounting systems.
- Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the accounting department.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Providing daily guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting laws, regulations, and standards.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an accounting department, preferably in the energy industry.
- Proven experience with project management, internal and external audits, GL, A/R, supervising AR, SOP generation, and accruals.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
