Under limited supervision: Functions as the systems specialist for the IMPACS(IM), Savings-Time(ST), and Relationship Management (RM) systems. Assists with systems projects, upgrades and conversions. Writes the scope, objectives and script documents for systems enhancements, DPR testing, upgrades and conversion projects. Reviews test result and identifies problems or errors. Serves as division's deposit systems technical expert, resolving problems and responding to complex or unusual requests. Requires in-depth understanding of IM, ST, and RM systems, branch operations and knowledge of all other departmental functions.

Systems-related responsibilities:

  • Questions or issues may encompass, but are not limited to: errors, or problems with accruals, renewals, rollovers, service charging, fees, etc. Requires understanding of how to research a problem and how to resolve it, why and how service charges are assessed, including familiarity with special coding which may cause a charge to be assessed differently than the default, how to calculate interest (compound and simple), etc.
  • Functions as the system administrator for the IM and ST systems. Responsible for updating the control files (products, service charge parameters, statement messages, statement cycle changes, etc.).
  • Functions as the Division’s primary analyst for systems projects, upgrades, regulatory changes and addition of new features and functions. Provides technical support as it relates to the day-to-day system functionality and the testing and validating of new functionality. Evaluates current processes and recommends process improvements and efficiencies. Gathers requirements, determines functional design and documents business processes.
  • During acquisitions, acts as primary liaison between FIS, Marketing, the conversion team and the acquired bank’s systems personnel, to ensure seamless conversions. Writes queries to assist in analysis of field-to-field and product mapping.
  • Writes the scope, objectives and script documents for all IM, ST, and RM systems projects. Implements and tests to ensure there is no negative customer impact. Identifies and analyzes systems problems and solutions, reviewing test results prior to installation of the changes into production.
  • Writes queries to assist Bank personnel in monitoring and analyzing various data.
  • Analyses data and provides summary reports to assist management in making informed decisions.
  • Designs tracking reports for use by upper management.

Branch Operations.

Provides customer service to branches and departments. Accurate and timely response to questions regarding operations procedures using sound judgment, ensuring regulatory compliance, no losses, no negative customer or legal impact and satisfactory audits.

Departmental Functions.

Provides Division staff with systems support ; renders phone and clerical support as necessary. Assists in responding to technically difficult questions.

Marginal Functions:

Participates in other special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS :

Proven ability to manage small, medium, large projects concurrently. Extensive previous bank operational technical support experience Previous work experience, where incumbent has acquired a thorough in-depth knowledge of IMPACS and Savings/Time and CIS systems documentation activities and legal requirements. Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred. Incumbent must have working knowledge of PC spreadsheets and word processing software and query operations or mainframe programs. Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills are required. Must be familiar with deposit systems software.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Works for extended periods of time on PC. Travels to various locations to attend meetings and training sessions.
  • Moves from one project to another many times during day.

  • Interpret and apply technical instructions in the installation and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Analyze and recommend changes to current operational procedures to increase production and decrease expenses.
