Job Description
The Program Leader is responsible for the overall performance and profitability of all programs assigned. The Program Leader will: 1) Lead the development of a QMS Principles driven environment that promotes an attitude of excellence that satisfies internal and external customer needs the first time. 2) Influence the evidence based development of co-worker leadership skills and abilities throughout the organization. 3) Apply the PDCA process and influencing abilities to ensure data driven decrease documented non-value activities and utilize innovative ideas to implement documented value added solutions into all processes, resulting in internal and external customer satisfaction. 4) Ensure aligned daily work with program lean standard work which is aligned to KMMs mission, vision, values, and goals to ensure everyone is pulling in the same direction at the same time in real time. 5) Use and document the KMM CIP appropriate processes which includes the Lean Practical Problem Solving Process immediately when a problem is recognized.
This position is the primary contact with the customer and as such it is expected that the Program Leader will represent KMM in a professional manner at all times through the daily application of the QMS Principles and be responsive and respectful. The Program Leader's goal is to improve profits & cash flow each year utilizing the application of QMS principles. KMM Program Leaders are required to collaborate using Hoshin Kanri and Catch-Ball processes with all KMM leadership, directors, and ownership to enhance improvement for the company and their program. In addition to Hoshin Kanri, the Program Leader will apply the KMM Business Management Systems throughout her or his roles and responsibilities.
The Program Leader will conduct themselves in a professional manner and at all times be responsive and respectful. She or he must be able to lead kaizen, teach, coach, and mentor using the 6 thinking processes to facilitate learning that promotes improvements to program QMS, productivity, manpower, engineering, material acquisition, tooling, calibration, capital equipment, facilities, continuous improvement, training, and Program Management Strategy. This position requires a minimum of weekly reporting on the current reporting format through the designated leadership.
