Job Responsibilities of Residential Electric Installer:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential buildings, including houses, apartments, and condominiums.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine the layout and wiring configurations for installations.
  • Install wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components according to local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and identify faults in wiring or equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and prevent failures.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as contractors and architects, to coordinate electrical installations with overall building plans.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their electrical needs and preferences and provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of accidents or injuries.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and enhance professional knowledge.



Job Requirements for Residential Electrical Installer:

  • Minimum 2+ years in residential electrical work
  • Proficiency in electrical techniques, hardware knowledge, and wiring diagrams.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to electrical installations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Commitment to yearly training and skill enhancement.
  • A clean driving record and, the ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Strong communication skills, high integrity, and a collaborative spirit.
  • A mindset geared towards entrepreneurship is beneficial.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
