Grooming Assistant

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Grooming Assistant to join our team! In addition to providing 24/7 medical care, Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is proud to offer pet grooming services for canines and felines of all breeds and sizes. Our Grooming Assistants are responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our grooming facility, and provide direct support to our Master Groomer.

Our ideal candidate must have previous experience in pet grooming or professional pet care. This is a part time position, no weekends required. Shifts begin at 7:00AM and may vary in length, based on scheduled appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in restraining animals for master grooming
• Assist in the brushing and bathing of animals
• Maintain and clean the grooming area to ensure a healthy, safe and organized environment
• Handle general care tasks, such as preparing grooming stations, stocking supplies, and other tasks as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to clients
• Provide compassionate, quality care to pets

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in animal care or grooming services required
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
