Join Our Team as a Part-Time Legal Assistant

Location: Charlotte, NC (28210 area)
Salary: $25-28 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week) - In office

About Us:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal Assistant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this role provides primary administrative support to our Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for legal administration and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage and organize electronic filing systems and physical file rooms.
-Handle filing, scanning, and processing of legal documents, agreements, and invoices.
-Coordinate meeting schedules, calendars, and conference calls.
-Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
-Create and maintain databases of contracts, reports, and legal records.
-Assist in preparing initial drafts of legal documents and contracts.
-Manage submission, approval, signature, and recordation processes for contracts.
-Support real estate portfolio processes, including lease management and negotiations.
-Update and maintain legal reports and databases as needed.
-Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and documentation.
-Perform additional projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree.
-2-4 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a law firm.
-Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook).
-Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal).
-Ability to work well under pressure and handle highly confidential information.
-Professional demeanor with a commitment to ethical standards.
-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
