At Next Door Restaurant by Wegmans, our mission is to provide incredible service and a one-of-a-kind dining experience for our guests. As a Sushi Line Cook you will develop and use your food passion to produce unique fresh sushi offerings in a high volume restaurant. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for the culinary arts, this could be the role for you!
What will I do?
- Follow and use proper recipes, knife skills, and cooking techniques when prepping ingredients and preparing menu items, to produce a consistent outcome
- Effectively balance prep work while ensuring guests meals are prepared in a timely manner with the highest standards of quality maintained
- Possess an understanding of products used and menu offerings, share knowledge with restaurant team members
- Properly handle products and use equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines, as well as comply with applicable State Restaurant Health Codes and Regulations
Required Qualifications
- Food preparation experience
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products and services
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in the Culinary Arts
- Experience cutting sashimi and sushi neta
- Experience in sushi preparation in a high-volume retail environment
- Experience working as a Sushi Cook
