As a Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving catering sales revenue through proactive selling, planning, and execution of events. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure exceptional service from initial contact through event completion. This role requires strong sales skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively generate catering sales leads through networking, outreach, and relationship building.
  2. Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally, providing detailed information on catering options, pricing, and availability.
  3. Conduct site tours and tastings for potential clients, showcasing our venue and catering offerings.
  4. Collaborate with clients to customize menus, floor plans, and event details to meet their specific needs and preferences.
  5. Prepare and present accurate event proposals and contracts, ensuring all details are clearly outlined and agreed upon.
  6. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including culinary, operations, and event staff, to ensure seamless execution of events.
  7. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns or changes.
  8. Coordinate logistics for events, including equipment rentals, staffing requirements, and special requests.
  9. Attend industry events, and networking functions to promote Orange Hill Restaurant and expand client base.
  10. Track catering sales metrics and analyze trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  11. Maintain organized records of client communications, contracts, and event details using Del-Phi software.
  12. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards for service quality and guest satisfaction.
  13. Assist with marketing initiatives, including creating promotional materials and participating in marketing campaigns as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in catering sales or event planning, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with clients and colleagues.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Del-Phi knowledge is a plus!
  6. Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, culinary terminology, and event planning best practices.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
