Job Description:
As a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication for students in a school setting. Working collaboratively with educators and other professionals, you will contribute to creating an inclusive environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing sign language interpretation during classroom instruction and various school activities.
  • Facilitating communication between students, educators, and other school staff.
  • Collaborating with the educational team to ensure the inclusion and success of students with hearing impairments.
  • Adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality in all interpreting assignments.
  • Supporting individualized learning plans for students with hearing-related needs.
  • Participating in professional development and training opportunities as needed.

Requirements:
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • EIPA certification with a score range of 3.0-4.0.
  • RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification.
  • NIC (National Interpreter Certification) certification.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Compassionate and dedicated to promoting communication accessibility for students.
