POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented B.I. Reporting Analyst for PAR Data Central, a cloud-based application for desktop, web, mobile, and phone, used by chain restaurants to manage their inventory, food, labor and scheduling, and access up-to-date analytics and reporting to optimize their operations.

Our ideal candidate will apply proven technical expertise with designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that draw attention to the most important KPIs and actionable insights to drive restaurant profitability. The person filling this role will work in a collaborative team atmosphere developing custom reporting solutions for multiple departments within Data Central, as well as defining standardized reporting that should be adopted across all clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with Product Management to help evolve the future of Data Central's reporting platform by synthesizing customer requirements into configurable solutions that can apply across the board
  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements for custom reporting, including cost and timeline estimates
  • Design, deliver, and support a report solution tailored to meet the needs of clients
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Implementation, Technical Services, Product Adoption, and Sales to design and deliver custom and core reports
  • Support existing custom(er) design needs as well as implementing new designs including analytics
  • Assist with the translation of data into Data Warehouse, ClickHouse, OLAP, and API offerings and offer guidance on how to integrate this data into customer's existing environments
  • Maintain all core reports within the Data Central reference database

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Bachelor's degree BS/BA in Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of data or analytics experience
  • High level understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), and ETL (Extract, transform, load) processes
  • Understanding of SQL and APIs
  • Familiarity with BI technologies and report design best practices (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proven record as a problem solver who enjoys finding solutions with a passion for continued education (growing both technical and interpersonal skills)
  • Ability to self-train, to stay current with the technology and security and applying new technologies as they come available

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiar with DevExpress reporting tools
  • Familiar with SQL to write queries from our ClickHouse DBMS
  • Have any restaurant operations experience
