Job Description
PrideNow is hiring a Buyer for a manufacturer and distributor within the food and beverage industry in Jersey City, NJ.
Job Type: Permanent/Direct Hire
Salary Range: $85-90k Annually.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase merchandise and/or commodities for resale
- Solicit quotations from vendors and ensure timely delivery
- Engage in price negotiations with vendors and conduct forecasting activities
- Generate purchase orders, conduct audits and oversee annual inventory processes
- Utilize analytical problem-solving and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- 5-7 years related experience in procurement and supply chain management
- Must be familiar with order processing systems
- Must be familiar with MS Office Suite including Word and Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
